Prior to this, he was a fellow at St. Vincent’s Hospital at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, from 1996 to 1997, and served as an assistant radiologist at the renowned Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai from 1990 to 1998. His earlier foundational training includes working as a senior resident in nuclear medicine as a DNB trainee at SGPGIMS in Lucknow from 1989 to 1990, studying as a diploma in radiation medicine student at the University of Bombay in Mumbai from 1987 to 1988, and serving as a junior resident doctor in medicine at the Calcutta Medical Research Institute in Kolkata from 1985 to 1987.
